Volunteer With Us

Worrel's Haven is ALWAYS looking for female volunteers who can help make a difference in the lives of the women who stay here. It doesn't matter what your skill level or area of expertise is, because there is always a way you can contribute.

For example, you could:

  • Transport residents to job interviews and other important appointments.
  • Help out at fundraisers and other events.
  • Cook a meal for the house.
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs.
  • Teach a class to help our residents learn a valuable life skill.

Or so many other things...the possibilities are endless!

Best of all, when the women of Worrel's Haven see you working for THEM, your actions prove their worth as valuable human beings. That connection shows that they are more than just their addiction.

Our Mentor Program

Addiction and alcoholism often leave us feeling isolated and alone. To successfully recover, we need someone to talk to -- someone who we can trust to offer guidance and encouragement without judgement. Nobody understands the challenges of recovery like someone who has already faced them.

That's why every resident at Worrel's Haven is assigned a female Mentor during their stay. Your mentor is not a Sponsor like you would have through Alcoholics/Narcotics Anonymous. She is more of a trusted friend who is there to support you as you adjust to a new sober and stable lifestyle.

BE A MENTOR If you are a woman in successful long-term recovery, Worrel's Haven invites you to share hope and wisdom with others who are just starting out on their own sober journeys. We value your experience and personal progress, and we believe you may have what it takes to be a Mentor.
